MEMBERS' CODE OF CONDUCT

It is expected that:

All members shall act with due respect to all other members and any other persons associated with the Group’s activity.

All members shall not act in any manner that would bring the Group into disrepute.

Any equipment or premises belonging or hired, or loaned to the Group, will be treated with respect by members.

The privileged published list of members’ personal contact details would be used only to further the interests of the Group and not employed as a vehicle for frivolous or personal use in promoting any cause. It will at no time be used as a mass communication facility, other than by an authorised Officer of the Group acting on instruction of the Committee.

All members agree to conform to the terms and conditions of the Group’s policy relating to the protection of young children and vulnerable adults.

All members shall pay relevant membership fees on the due date/s, unless otherwise agreed with the Treasurer. The same shall apply to any purchase/s of goods or services made from the Group by a member.

Any member who is two or more months in arrears with their subscription fees shall forfeit their entitlement to enter group competitions/projects.

Member/s’ contravention of the above code could result in review by the Committee, culminating in whatever action it considers appropriate, up to and including; verbal/written caution, temporary/permanent suspension of membership and commencement of legal proceedings.

Member’s Grievance Procedure
Member/s having a grievance to be resolved, should present this in writing to the Secretary.

Receipt would be acknowledged within seven days, together with a date of the next Committee Meeting at which the grievance would be heard.

Within seven days of the Committee meeting the Secretary will advise the member of their decision.

The Committee decision will be final.

An appeal would only be permissible on submission of previously unstated factor/s. In this instance, the same above procedure would apply with no further appeal permitted.
